Hi everyone!
New of the forum, almost new of Dubai (not even 6 months).
I started thinking about buying a car here, and to get it back to Italy when I'll leave (next year, maybe...), since car prices here a way lower than in Italy.
My main concern is: will I be allowed to import that car in Italy, or there will be any problem of pollution standard that UAE cars don't meet?
I'm not talking about a gigantic Jeep 6.0 V8 going 200m with a liter of fuel of course, just a "small" european car like VW Golf or Opel Astra or Renault Megane.
Anyone has an experience about it? Or, at least, do you know anyone that did it successfully?
I'm sure that this idea crosses all expats mind soneer or later...so I assume someone tried, or, at least, tried to gather all the infos.
