gental? gentil? I presume you mean gentle and not gentile or genital?
AFAIK, running in is not as important as it used to be but you should still avoid getting close to redlining it or overloading it with heavy load on low RPMs eg driving uphill in high gear. Especially when cold (goes for any car anytime not just running in).
Keep RPM below 3000 for first 1500 kms is good enough. But it's a good idea to vary speed and RPMs during run-in.

Bollocks. Drive it like you stole it for the first few 100kms then think about varying load points during cruises after - avoid too much stop-go driving. First few 100kms of 'break-in' are important to ensure ur engine seals and the like are properly bedded in. That said, sharewadi has a point - most modern cars have been pre run in and doesn't make the whole process as much of a concern.

Agree with what has been said above: this rule to break cars in is stoopid. Engines these days are buil to last and pre-run in.

Ten points to Yorky ... they know 99.9% of people who buy new cars don't even know how to fill up the washer fluid - you really think they are going to trust you with a brand new engine ... test beds people test beds!
