I can play quite a few songs, although I'm pretty rust as I haven't played in nearly 4 months and have lots my callouses. I know mostly Australian material, but I will learn some 'global' songs for the crowd. I can play Hotel California. |
| PrettyPenny |
| what can you play ian? maybe theres a song in there i can sing. |
| ^ian^ |
And you told us it was because you were going nuts on a high E and it just came loose. In reality, it was a casuality of your attempt to get to sleep    |

I'm not talking about singing.... shesh. No wonder the tremelo fell of your guitar and it is in the shop, you thought it was a microphone. |
| Sparrow |
tsk tsk tsk ..... only 2 ppl said that to me in my life, one is dead and the other is still running..... :? |
| Dubai Knight |

| Hotel California  and I will volunteer to be the beast! |
| Dubai Knight |
Fingers are sore! We have sacked 2 vocalists so far and my poor guitar went 'twang' like Duane Eddy whilst in the middle of a thrash session! The tremolo popped off the body and its now in the shop being fixed. Luckily I have now been lent a brand spanking new Fender Strat and rehearsals are progressing! We have our private gig on the 21st September, but after that I am up for a DF band. Anyone out there bang the skins? 8) 8) 8) Knight |

Nice steel string Yamaha electro-accoustic with a single cutaway. Need to play it in, the strings are still a bit warbly. |
| yorky500 |
Ok, understand. Anything with heavy guitar in it. Rock songs obviously. I hope from playing the guitar?   |
| Jeevan |
| woah, which one, gibson? Yamaha? acoustic? electric?with pickup?with amplis? whens the jam session?  |
| ^ian^ |
Accoustic, don't want to disturb the neighbours. Plus accoustics are more fun, and ultimately very portable. Perhaps I should have started a - What are your favourite songs to play? thread. My fingers hurt like hell this morning too. |
| yorky500 |
| Nice one. Accoustic or electric? Thats one instrument I have always wanted to play. Never had the opportunity, but I do play a mean "air-guitar" to Angus Young! |
| ^ian^ |
| After having a very drunken crack at playing the guitar after 4 months at DK's party, I decided I had better buy one and get those callous back. Anyone interested in catching up and having a jam let me know. I'm a little rusty but it's coming back. |
