| I doubt it. Two sides of a coin as usual, If its true - Whoever responsible for his death will be shouting it to the world. But it could stir up emotions/reactions from his supporters and who knows what happens next. Might be the reason also why the culprit is not spreading the news. If its not true- he could be fasting as of this moment. |

| in one sense its irrelevant - if he dies there are plenty of other extremists. |

Agreed But if he is confirmed dead.. does that mean end of Afghan occupation? |

Hope so. |

Is Osama the Taleban? |
| sage & onion |
Only the leader of sorts |
| kanelli |
| Actually, no that is incorrect. The Taleban was the group ruling Afghanistan that allowed Osama and Al Qaeda to thrive in Afghanistan. Osama did not create and does not lead the Taleban. |
| rvp_legend |
If he is confirmed dead, and with now the US govt saying that the Al qaeda leadership is returning to the middle east.... Does that mean the Afghan mission is complete? The taleiban no longer in power, and the man responsible for 9/11 dead... Game over? |
| kanelli |
| You'd think so... However, the Taleban is still fighting to take control again in Afghanistan, so that seems to be why the coalition there wants to keep active in wiping them out. |
