Oh come on, when i tell people im from dubai when in another country you wouldnt BELIEVE the amount of people that say "Oh right, so do you have camels and stuff in front of your house? Do u have any plants in your garden?" grow some thick skin ffs. going around being overtly sensitive about where you are from is always going to land u further into the butt of all jokes. I had an afghani friend in australia (his dad moved there in the 80's) and hes a total champ about where he is from, takes all the jokes on the chin and dishes it back. |
