| Hi Guys, I've got my residency and it was issued in Abu Dhabi as i work in Abu Dhabi but live in Dubai. I tried to get my licence up in Dubai but was told i need to get it sorted in Abu Dhabi...fair enough. EXCEPT just been told i need to take a blood test to get my licence....what an absolute joke!!! I know my blood type already why cant i just tell them and avoid the hassle and wait of going to the hospital. Is there a quicker way of doing this??? I can't get my car until i get my licence so i need some info asap pls. thanks john |

| Tell them? I don't know of any governmental ministry/entity that acknowledges what you "tell". You prove your blood type by a simple 2 minute test. Sadly, the bloodtest is the least of your worries, they seem to fail you (if you need a driving test) a million times to get the local-owned driving schools more income. Anyway, good luck. |

| I have found a document with my blood type on. Now the next hurdles are my letter of consent to get my license from my sponsor and legal translation of my license....what a bloody nightmare...what ever happened to sending off to DVLA with a photo and prove of passing your test. John |
