| Well hello there :P There is no real problem for you visiting Dubai all alone as long as you are wise and do not act like a real party girl over there :twisted: Seriously, Dubai is a safe modern city and people there can feel more secure walking down the street at midnight than in Europe or North America.... In terms of pricing for accomodation, it depends what you mean my "usual accomodation". Usual could mean paying $5000/night in Burj al Arab for one guy and could mean paying $150/night in a less extravagant place :? |

| I don't know how safe and tranquil Croatia is since you are probably recovering from your civil war, but Dubai and the UAE in general is as safe as can be and you should have no worries at all... The only thing I may worry about is the hellish heat and humidity in summer 8) |
